Sophie Scholl and the White Rose Movement.
At the height of Hitler's oppressive grip on power and the terror the Third Reich unleashed on its citizens and the world, one young girl stood up to an entire regime. Sophie created the White Rose movement and defied Hitler's totalitarian policies on censorship. Her goal was to expose the evils of Hitler's totalitarianism. Â It wasn't long before Hitler's secret police made finding the members of the White Rose movement their top priority. Â Sophie was arrested, and at just 21 years of age, she was sentenced to death.Â
Freedom has never been free. Â The White Rose is a symbol of freedom and one young girl's courage in the face of overwhelming evil.
